Training Venue

Talton Lodge provides a unique background for any training event, retreat, or residential course. The giant tipi or our converted Barn can be classrooms. We provide everything you will need from projectors and broadband access, to home made snacks.

We also host Christmas parties for 8-24 guests in our Barn.

There are two main spaces for business events:

The 18th century Barn which we've recently converted specifically for business use.

• Set-up: slate bar with stools, large wood-burning fire and we can set up chairs and tables for training, meetings, conferences or team celebrations
• Capacity: 20 people or so
• 1 Break-out area with soft seating
• 1 large break-out room or training room upstairs that can also be used as group accommodation if you request.
• Kitchen facilities
• Male and female toilets upstairs
• Plenty of outdoor space

• Set-up: soft seating, central fire, chairs and tables can be set up as you require.
• Capacity: 60 people
• 1 covered outdoor break-out area on the pavilion balcony
• 1 indoor break-out area in the large yurt (the yurt also serves as accommodation)
• 3 bathrooms/toilets in the pavilion
• Kitchen facilities in the pavilion
• Plenty of outdoor space

We provide the following essential equipment:

• Wireless broadband access in the barn and giant tipi
• Projector and speakers
• Flip charts

We also provide the following full board service:

• Breakfast of home cured bacon, sausage, our own eggs, home-made jam and bread
• Morning coffees, teas, juices and pastries
• Home-made lunch - with a couple of courses from one of our menus – (click to see menus)
• Afternoon teas, coffees, juices and biscuits
• Dinner which can be as elaborate or simple as you like - (click to see menus)

Activities:

• Just let us know what you're after and we can usually sort it out for you on site. Please see the activities page or click here for some ideas for team events and get-togethers. Some are relaxing some are more challenging.

For something really big we can attach two giant tipis together to create a really impressive space to stage a large event for over 100 people in unusual and beautiful surroundings.
