In the walled kitchen garden

From April to October we can sleep up to 16 under canvass. You can stay in our beautiful North American Indian tipis (3/4 people), our authentic Mongolian yurt (1 double and 4 singles), or our bell tent (3 people). All are rain proof, have proper beds, linen, towels, rugs, blankets and cushions.

For cooking and eating we have a very big Scandinavian tipi equipped with running water and gas stoves. For ablutions we have built a cedar-clad pavilion where there are three loos and hot showers.

In the barn

Our converted 18th century barn is a fantastic space, with high ceilings and exposed beams. It has been decorated using much of what was already there (mangers for sinks, stable partitions for walls, bricks for the bar), and the rest is in keeping with what was there (reclaimed slate dairy shelves for the surfaces, and lime wash for the walls). But now it is cosy and well-equipped with its wood-burning stove, comfortable seating and beds, furnished kitchen, Wi-Fi, and an HD projector. Downstairs is an open plan space with kitchen, bar, table large enough for 18, and sofabed. Upstairs is also open plan, but the beds are in 5 cubicles naturally made with the beams. There is one double and 4 singles, but we can easily fit 2 more singles in. There are also 2 toilets and a large free-standing bath. It sleeps 5-10 people. If your group is bigger than this and we've dismantled the canvas, then you can use the 5 bedrooms across the road at Talton House.
