In the walled kitchen garden
From end of March to early November we can sleep up to 17 under canvas. You can stay in our 2 authentic Mongolian yurts (each has a double and 2 or 4 singles), and from April to October in our 2 North American Indian tipis (one has a double and 2 singles, the other has 3 singles). All are rain proof, have wood-burning stoves, proper beds, linen, towels, rugs, blankets and cushions. This year we will also have a new structure in the kitchen garden, a tree boat. Barney is building it at the moment, see our Facebook page for up to date photos, it will have a double and 2 singles.

For cooking and eating we have a very big Scandinavian tipi with sofas, tables, large bar, a stereo and a lovely big indoor central fire. You will find three loos, hot showers and a lovely covered balcony and a kitchen in the adjacent cedar pavilion.

In the barn
Our converted 18th century barn is a fantastic space, with high ceilings and exposed beams. It has been decorated using much of what was already there (mangers for sinks, stable partitions for walls, bricks for the bar), and the rest is in keeping with what was there (reclaimed slate dairy shelves for the surfaces, and lime wash for the walls). But now it is cosy and well-equipped with its wood-burning stove, comfortable seating and beds, Wi-Fi, and an HD projector. Downstairs is an open-plan space with kitchen, bar, table large enough for 18, and sofa-bed. Upstairs is also open plan, but the beds are in 5 cubicles naturally made with the beams. There is one double and 4 singles, but we can easily fit 2 more singles in. There are also 2 toilets and a large free-standing bath. If your group is bigger than this and we've dismantled the canvas, then you can use the 5 bedrooms across the road at Talton House.
